MERS: Samsung Medical Center could reopen Tuesday

Samsung Medical Center in southern Seoul is expected to reopen Tuesday, as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome shows signs of abating.

Health authorities said they were considering lifting the partial closure of the leading hospital that prompted the second wave in the spread of MERS. The respiratory illness produced Korea’s first patient on May 20.

Meanwhile, there were no additional cases of MERS for the 12th straight day Friday, and no fatalities in a week.
