Idol girl singer reveals real estate riches

Idol girl band KARA member Han Seung-yeon has revealed she owns a property in a rich Seoul area that is worth 4.5 billion won.

The revelation raised speculation that she might be Korea’s richest real estate idol.

Appearing on tvN’s talk show “Smart is New Sexy,”

Han, 28, said she bought the five-story building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu district, in April last year.

The building, which is still under construction, is close to Cheongdam subway station and, once completed, would yield high rents, experts said.

Han, who some regard as Korea’s smartest idol girl singer, also said she had studied in the U.S. to become a doctor.

“I wanted to be a singer but I wasn’t sure if I could eventually become one,” Han said in the show. “So, I studied medical science as ‘insurance’ for my future.”
