Choi Hong-man, better known as “Techno Goliath,” will face Brazilian martial arts fighter Carlos Toyota in a Road FC match in July.

“Choi will fight Carlos Toyota in the Road FC 24 match in Japan, scheduled for July 25,” said Korea’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, Thursday.

The 2.17-meter fighter returns to the MMA almost six years after losing to Japanese martial artist and wrestler Minowa Ikuhisa, better known as Minowaman, in 2009.

Choi debuted as a ssireum (traditional Korean wrestling) player in 2002 and won four champion titles.

But the downfall of ssireum led him to become a martial arts fighter. He earned two wins in five matches in the MMA.

Other Korean MMA fighters ― including Choi Mu-bae and Yoon Dong-sik ― will also appear in the matches.
