The aquarium and theater in the trouble-plagued second Lotte World Tower will reopen on Tuesday after they were closed in December over safety issues.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) said Friday it would lift a ban on the facilities at the skyscraper in southeastern Seoul after discussing the issues with government officials and experts.
"To relieve public anxiety over the safety issues, the facilities need to be thoroughly managed to prevent the recurrence of similar accidents," a city official said.
The second Lotte World Tower, which is expected to be completed next year, has been in controversy since it opened in October after reports of sinkholes, water leaks at the aquarium and mysterious tremors at the cinema.
