The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) plans to hold a one-day orientation session to provide information about college admission for interracial families at City Hall on April 18.

Participants can learn about how to prepare for college admission, how to write self-introduction letters and other skills.

A college admission counselor will hold a question-and-answer session, according to the city government.

It said it decided to hold the event to help children from interracial families overcome challenges arising from language barriers and adaptation to Korean society.

“We recognize that there is a growing demand from these families for education. We hope this year’s event will help those seeking accurate information about college admission and the strategy needed,” an SMG official said.

Those who wish to attend the session are required to visit
