A mother delivered a baby boy in an ambulance on her way to hospital, Sunday, according to officials from the 119 emergency rescue services, Wednesday.
The 34-year-old mother, whose name was withheld, called 119 from her home in Seocho, southern Seoul, after her waters broke. Rescue workers arrived six minutes later.
While transporting the mother to a nearby hospital, she began delivery five minutes into the journey.
The workers slowed down the ambulance and helped her deliver the baby; they were equipped with the necessary equipment to do so.
“It was the most wonderful experience of my career,” said a rescue worker.
