Nearly 80 percent of those injured in the Uijeongbu fire on Saturday morning were in their 20s and 30s, according to firefighters and police officers.
The Uijeongbu Fire Department confirmed that there were 50 victims in their 20s and 44 in their 30s, these combined reach a total of 77 percent of the injured.
Four people were killed and 124 injured as of Sunday.
The 10-story Daebong Green Apartment complex consists of small single-room studios, each about 17 square meters and it mostly accommodates young people living alone as well as some couples.
Approximately 20 vehicles in the parking lot of the apartment were also destroyed by the fire.
About 225 residents were evacuated to Gyungeui Elementary School or sent to temporary stays at nearby lodging facilities.
According to witnesses, the fire broke out from a motor bicycle parked near a mailbox on the first floor.
