It is with shock and sorrow that we have been following the tragic results of the capsizing of the Sewol ferry. Alongside the efforts and hopes to locate additional survivors, the loss of so many lives is truly heartbreaking.

On behalf of the State of Israel and its people, we send our sympathy and condolences to the families who have suffered loss and hope for the quick recovery for the survivors of this terrible event and their families.

It was with great grief and sadness that I learned of the Sewol ferry accident, a tragedy that cost so many lives. I extend my deepest condolences to the families and friends who lost their loved ones in this terrible accident. Our thoughts are with them during these trying times.

Representing all employees of Renault Samsung Motors, I would like to extend deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy. As the father of children, I also feel personally saddened and cannot think of any words to ease their suffering. We all hope that our prayers will reach everyone.

My condolences to Korea with my right palm on my heart when words are not just enough. It is such disturbing news to hear of precious youngsters losing their lives. I have been critical in my artwork for the last decade about how Korean Society has been going through nonstop drastic change again and again.

And the society is facing emotion and value erosion in time. No doubt economic success is in Korea, but with heavy consequences and huge competition — the wheels of machine cannot see the direction ahead and can only run faster. Today I hope people stop a second and reflect on the meaning of life and share the pain together and not forget this meaning for tomorrow.

With deepest sorrow and grief, on behalf of the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I would like to express my utmost heartfelt condolences and sympathy to bereaved family members and people of the friendly nation of Korea, for demise of hundreds of Korean nationals, especially students, in tragic accident of the ferry Sewol. May the divine Almighty God, with his wide mercy and compassion, give the bereaved families strength and patience to overcome the deep grief and tragedy.

This is an unbelievable tragedy. My grief sits heavily in my heart knowing that most of the victims were young students. Although we keep hearing sad reports, we should not give up on our hopes until the last minute because every miracle starts with a hope. I wish for a miracle with all my heart.
