North Korea’s textbooks are full of propaganda while advocating antagonism on the United States, Japan, South Korea, capitalism and teachings of death-to-the treason.
The Free North Korea Radio, an Internet outlet, reported that they obtained the textbook “Morals of Communism,” and shared the pages online.
North Korea said on April 1 that it adopted a 12-year compulsory education system for teenagers, leaving many wondering what subjects the communist state would teach.
“Those aged between 14 and 16 are like sponge. They absorb everything they see and listen. This period is critical in shaping the world view,” the paper quoted the textbook as saying.
Also the text book is dogmatic in its assertion that the enemy designated by the state is to be fought against, and never to be empathized.
“Wonsu, meaning the enemy, should be annihilated mercilessly. Once faced with the enemy, one should think about one thing only. Annihilation. Those who feel weak or vulnerable even for a moment will be stuck with disgrace and soul-wrenching guilt for the rest of their lives.”
It remains to be seen whether the newly implemented system would come into fruition when all it emphasizes the need to stick to bigotry based on communist ideas.
