A nine-year-old elementary school student who got slapped in the face reported his mother to the police.
The Suwon Seobu Police Station said Tuesday it booked a 43-year-old woman for slapping his son, who swore at her.
On Monday morning the son was playing a game on his smartphone, and she told him to have breakfast. When he responded with expletive words, she slapped his son’s face twice, according to the police.
Upon receiving the report, police isolated him from his mother and took the latter to the station.
However, the son said at the station that he did not want to press charges against her. Therefore, the police plan to refer the case, with a recommendation of her not being indicted.
