What is the biggest reason that couples get back together?
Bien Aller, a marriage website, and Feeling You, a dating and marriage website, conducted a survey, asking 608 single men and women if they have ever gotten back together with an ex.
Fifty-two percent of men and 47 percent of women have said they reunited with a former girlfriend or boyfriend once. Ten percent of men and 8.8 percent of women said they got back together with their ex twice. Of the men, 14.7 percent said they started seeing their ex at least three times.
What are the reasons that the men gave for getting back together with their ex? "Lack of anyone better" (24.7 percent) was at the top of the list. "Break up due to unavoidable circumstance" (23.0 percent), "loneliness after break up" (18.4 percent), "newly discovered pros" (13.8 percent) and "break up due to a misunderstanding" (11.5 percent) were other reasons stated by male subjects.
What is running through women's minds when they decide to reunite with their ex? "Loneliness after break up" was the reason given by 42.4 percent of the women. The most popular answers, given by men and women, show two conflicting opinions.
"Break up due to unavoidable circumstance" (24.0 percent), "lack of a better person" (14.1 percent) and "break up due to misunderstanding" (9.8 percent) were other reasons given by women.
