Men more satisfied with marriage than women

A survey by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs showed that men are more satisfied with marriage than women.

According to Park Jong-seo at the institute, 70.9 percent of the men are happy with their married lives while only 59.8 percent of the women are.

These are results from a survey conducted on 10,515 couples aged between 15 and 64 in 2012.

Mainly, only 65.8 of the married men help with household chores while 21.8 percent of the women are entirely responsible for house work.

Over than 91 percent of the cooking lies with the wife, as with 87 percent for washing dishes, 86.2 percent for laundry, 78.3 perent for general household cleaning and 75.8 percent for household shopping.
