Stepmother breaks ribs of 3-year-old with shoe-horn

Listen

A stepmother who beat up a three-year-old with a shoe-horn and broke the child’s ribs has been caught by the police.

The child had been raised by her grandmother since 2011 after her parents got divorced.

The good days were gone after her father married a 34-year-old Suh. She was delighted to be reunited with her father and she got along well with Suh’s eight-year-old son.

Then, Suh gave birth to an infant and the beatings began. First, it was hitting the child in the buttocks with her hands but then escalated to smacking her on the face.

The main reason for the physical abuse was that she kept saying that she wanted to see her father who was working as a cab driver and was not often not around the house.

When employees of a child protection center came around to pick her up after neighbors reported suspicions of abuse, doctors said her ribs had been broken and that she needed seven weeks of hospital treatment.
