A man has been arrested on suspicion of violating a mentally retarded woman with disability on Tuesday, Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
He is suspected of having sexually assaulted a woman in his car when he was a social worker at elder care facility March in 2008, in Ulseong, also in North Gyeongsang Province.
Although her sister reported the incident to the police, the woman did not make a detailed comment on the criminal's appearance and incident. The police did not get his identification and the accident unsolved.
His crime was uncovered when he was arrested without a warrant on charges of attacking sexually 50-something on the spot. He attempted to violate a 50-year-old woman with whom he has long been familiar with on Jan. 22 in Gapyeong.
The police requested his DNA to National Forensic Service, and his DNA matched the one of the offender in the accident five years ago.
It was found that he has worked as a social worker for 15 years, searching for elderly care facility around country. The police said that it was easy for him to look for a job despite his criminal record because he was looking at elderly care facility which is not popular with an average employee.
