Computer networks of broadcasters, banks paralyzed

Computer networks of the nation's key broadcasters and banks were completely paralyzed in what appeared to be a cyber attack, police said Wednesday.

At least three broadcasters ㅡ KBS, MBC and YTN ㅡ and two banks ㅡ Shinhan Bank and Nonghyup ㅡ reported to the National Police Agency that their computer networks were entirely halted around 2 p.m. for unknown reasons, police said.
