Untidy hair has been found to be the most unfavorable for men and revealing attire for women during job interviews, according to a survey.

In a survey conducted for 54 corporate personnel staff members, the job portal Incruit said recently that 78 percent of them replied that untidy hair was most unfavorable for men and 78.2 percent have chosen too much revealing attire for women.

The next unfavorable aspect for men was excessively colorful garments at 50.3 percent, sports shoes at 46.9 percent, non-suit attire at 30.8 percent and wearing accessories, 25.4 percent.

For women, untidy hair was cited as the second most unattractive with 57.6 percent, followed by make-up at 54.5 percent and excessive accessories, 46.3 percent.

Meanwhile, personnel staff liked dark blue for men’s suit at 54.2 percent, followed by black at 30.3 percent and gray, 10.7 percent.

Netizens have different replies to the survey. “What is the standard for untidy hair?” “It’s a little empty when thinking that the success or failure depends on attire during a job interview,” and “Most of all I have to be tidy.”
