Rep. David Dreier, who has served in Congress since 1981 and currently works as the chairman of the Rules Committee, will arrive in Seoul on Sunday for a five-day trip, according to the ministry.
His visit is part of Seoul's exchange program for U.S. congressional members, which aims to enhance their understanding of South Korea, the ministry added.
During his stay, the 16th-term lawmaker plans to meet with senior government officials and economic leaders, including Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik and Trade Minister Bahk Tae-ho, and to visit the country's demilitarized zone and major business institutions, the ministry said. (Yonhap)
