The exhibition hall of the presidential office reopened Thursday with high-tech features aimed at better serving visitors, such as audio guides via smartphones and a cyber tour of the main presidential compound, the office said.
The "Sarangchae" exhibition hall provides a look at former South Korean presidents and the history of Seoul's development. It is located just outside the presidential office and is visited by about 3,000 people, including foreign tourists, every day. Admission is free.
It has been refurbished to add the audio guide and cyber tour features, the office said.
Visitors can download the "Sarangchae" application from the "Google Play" or "App Store" to use the audio guide service via their smartphones in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese, the office said.
The cyber tour, which is made with high-definition (HD) images of major facilities inside the presidential compound, enables visitors to feel as if they are walking inside the compound, it said. (Yonhap)
