“We guarantee at least 1 million won per day to women who meet these three conditions,” said a job advertisement that has raised allegations of prostitution against a modeling agency.
The unidentified modeling agency spammed email accounts through a recruitment website, advertising for part-time jobs at a private social club that is only open to members on June 11, reported Hankooki.com, the website of Hankook Ilbo.
“We only recruit pretty women,” began the email. It stated specific conditions, “ages: 20-23, height: 170 cm or taller, breast size: about C cup.” It added that women with model-like figures are preferable.
This agency claimed to have an overload of reservations by male clients, who are “well-mannered” and have “money to spare,” but “a lack of female employees to fill in the spots.” The email ended by repeating, “We only want pretty women.”
Hankooki.com called the contact number that was listed in the email but couldn’t reach the agency.
The police said they have no power to investigate or penalize the modeling agency in Yeoksam-dong, southern Seoul, because of the law.
“Although there is suspicion, we can’t start investigating unless there is evidence of prostitution,” explained a police officer to the press over the phone.
