A man in his 20s was fined 1 million won for groping a woman at a night club.
The Northern Seoul District Court said Friday it fined Ju, 27, for putting his hand under the skirt of a female stranger and grabbing her backside at a night club in October.
The man was indicted after molesting the 27-year-old woman surnamed Um who was passing by Ju’s table at the night club in Dongdaemun, Seoul.
“He has denied his crime, but his statements are unconvincing as the words of the victim and witnesses are consistent,” the judge said.
“The decision is made based on the nature of the offense and the fact that Ju did not have any previous record of sexual molestation.”
