Judges face sanctions for SNS comments

Two liberal judges who recently caused a stir by sharing comments ridiculing President Lee Myung-bak on their Facebook and Twitter sites face sanctions from the judiciary.

The Supreme Court last month decided to check on the past behavior and record of Seo Ki-ho from the Seoul Northern District Court, who denounced the government’s crackdown on SNS users in December.

Depending on the result of the scrutiny, the 42-year-old judge could be expelled from the court, according to Supreme Court officials.
