The presidential office will create a task force to collect information on bribery cases involving the relatives of the President, high-ranking officials and presidential aides this month.

The team will also conduct fact-checking activities of alleged involvement in bribery scandals. If any are found to be true, they will inform law enforcement authorities of illicit activities to help them start the investigation.

A presidential secretary on civil affairs will head the task force.

The announcement came after a working-level meeting to root out corruption cases involving presidential aides and relatives was held at the presidential office Monday.

Officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Board of Audit and Inspection, the Ministry of Justice, the National Police Agency and National Tax Service participated in the meeting.
