The nation’s largest travel agency, Hana Tour, is introducing a tour package especially for foreign visitors seeking to venture out of Seoul.

The Discover Korea Tour, launched in March, provides non-Korean tourists with a unique opportunity to travel across the country and see popular tourist spots in the provinces, while staying at decent hotels and tasting distinct cuisines in each region.

“With most tour packages, foreign visitors are only able to visit tourist attractions in Seoul and the surrounding area. Since there isn’t a reliable program our Discover Korea Tour is a perfect option for those who would like to see the real Korea,” a Hana Tour spokesman said.

He said the agency currently only offers a program for English-speaking tourists, but added that packages for Chinese and Japanese visitors will begin in September.

Discover Korea Tour offers three packages. The first is a three-night and four-day package to travel the western part of the country. Another three-night and four-day program is available for the eastern part of the nation. Both are priced at 650,000 won per person.

Foreigners who can spare a few more days can opt for the six-night and seven-day tour, priced at 1.2 million won person to see both the eastern and western parts of Korea. For more information on the Discover Korea Tours, call Hana Tour on 02-398-6571 or email jraw@hanatour.com.
