Man kills himself after stock losses

Police said a man in his 40s committed suicide Thursday after incurring losses from bad investments in stocks in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.

The unidentified man was found dead at 10:30 in the flower bed of an apartment complex, police said, adding they suspect he jumped off the roof.

Officers had been searching for him after receiving a report from his brother that he had left a note expressing an apology to his family.

According to his brother, the deceased had been in agony for days due to financial failure.
