A woman who had spent many years taking care of her sick father took her own life after her father’s death, police said Wednesday.
According to the Busan Police Station, the 23-year-old woman was found hanging in a room in her apartment in Sahagu, Busan on Tuesday by her elder sister.
A note was found in her room and in another room, her 52-year-old father who had suffered from Lou Gehrig's disease was also found dead in his bed, the police said.
In the three-page suicide note, she said, “He suddenly had difficulty breathing and his face turned pale and he stopped breathing. I’m happy that I can go with him.”
According to the police, her father divorced her mother seven years ago and he had suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis for three years. The eldest daughter worked to support the family while the second daughter stayed at home to take care of her father.
