Fifty-seven people were taken in by a fake sale of “used” women’s underwear.
Busan Nambu Police said Thursday that they booked a 17-year-old boy without physical detention for conning people out of some 5 million won by saying he sells previously worn women’s underwear.
The boy, only identified as Kim, posted on a secondhand item trading site last November claiming that he sells used underwear. Disguising himself as a woman, he also said he would sell sex.
A total of 57 men, ranging from a college student to office workers, contacted him, agreeing to buy panties, bras and stockings at 30,000-200,000 won ($27-$180). Kim received about 5 million won but didn’t send any items.
Considering he is a first offender and a juvenile, police didn’t detain him.
