A recent medical record showed that Kim Jong-il is likely to live only three more years.
The Open Radio for North Korea, a Seoul-based NGO broadcaster, said North Korea’s medical doctors, affiliated with North Korea’s special military unit that protects Kim Jong-il’s safety, concluded that Kim’s “natural lifespan could be extended for up to three more years,” the local Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported on Saturday.
Citing an unnamed “senior source” inside the regime, the NGO said the conclusion was based on a “comprehensive” consideration of Kim’s health, including a stroke he suffered in 2008 and other ailments he has such as kidney failure and laryngitis.
The newspaper said Kim’s mental conditions are aggravating as well.
“Chairman Kim himself said, ‘I am different now.’ He suffers from depression and cries a lot, displaying severe mood swings,” the North Korean source told the NGO, according to the newspaper.
