Worlds Smallest Hotel

The world’s smallest pop-up hotel is set to grace some of London’s finest landmarks next month, the Daily Mail reported.

The hotel, actually an Airstream caravan which measures only 29 ft by 7 ft in size, is due to land at several different locations in the heart of London from March 15-19 including London Zoo, Alexandra Palace and Covent Garden, the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and the London Eye.

Amazingly for the size, the high-spec mini hotel features a dedicated concierge, check-in desk, room service, a flat screen TV, sound system, fridge and dining room area, double bed with luxury bedding, en-suite facilities and all the other touches you might expect to find in a top London hotel.

Sally Chatterjee, Interim CEO, Visit London, said: “We are delighted to unveil the world’s smallest pop-up hotel in celebration of London’s unique offering for visitors.

"For one week only, visitors to the capital will have the opportunity to wake up and enjoy exclusive views of the world’s most iconic skylines.”

세계에서 가장 작은 호텔이 런던에 등장한다.

영국 일간지 데일리 메일은 "세계에서 가장 작은 호텔이 다음달 런던에 온다"며 "런던의 대표적 랜드마크에서 일주일간 개장할 예정"이라고 보도했다.

이 호텔의 정확한 크기는 가로 29 피트 (8.8m), 세로 7 피트 (2.1m). 바퀴가 달려있어 원하는 위치로 이동할 수 있다.

때문에 런던에 개장하는 일주일 동안 런던 동물원과 런던아이, 알렉산드라 궁 등 여러 곳에서 선보일 예정이다.

이 호텔은 세계에서 가장 작은 크기지만 어떤 특급호텔 못지 않은 서비스와 시설도 자랑했다. 룸 서비스와 컨시어지 서비스 등 고품격 서비스는 물론, 대형 평면 TV와 입체 음향, 최고급 침대 등도 마련돼 있었다.

샐리 샤터지 `비지트 런던’ CEO 대행은 "세계에서 제일 작은 호텔을 런던에 개장하게 돼 기쁘다’’면서 ``오직 일주일 동안만 이 호텔을 경험해 볼 수 있다. 아침에 눈을 뜨면 어디서도 볼 수 없는 최고의 전망을 감상할 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다.
