3D for Porn Industry

Adult film-makers have revealed 3D porn movies to jump on the Avatar bandwagon.

According to the Sun, hot on the heels of James Cameron's hi-tech blockbuster, Bad Girls in 3D has launched films that can be watched on an exclusive 3D setup.

The Bad Girls system was revealed at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas on Jan. 10.

Visitors to the Las Vegas show flocked to the hi-tech stall to try out the 3D virtual film.

"For several decades, the adult entertainment industry has driven adoption of every significant new entertainment delivery system ― the VHS home-video craze in the 1980s, the satellite television mania in the 1990s and the present day Internet," film producer Lance Johnson said.

He also mentioned that 2010 and beyond would be all about 3D.

The Bad Girls system consists of a computer hooked up to a 60-inch Panasonic TV and a pair of 3D glasses. It is priced at ￡2,000 and a subscription to the online video library costs ￡10 a month.

3차원 공상과학 블록버스터 아바타의 흥행 성공에 힘입어 성인영화 제작자들도 3D 쪽으로 눈을 돌리기 시작했다.

영국 타블로이드 신문 선지에 따르면 제임스 카메론 감독의 아바타 흥행 이후 3D 시스템 제작업체 배드 걸스 인 3D가 입체로 성인영화를 감상할 수 있는 시스템을 출시한 것으로 보도됐다.

배드 걸스 시스템은 라스베거스의 AVN 성인 엔터테인먼트 엑스포에서 1월 10일 처음 공개됐다.

라스베거스를 찾은 사람들은 3D영화를 시도해 보기 위해 베드 걸스 시스템이 진열돼 있는 곳으로 몰려 들었다.

영화 제작사 랜스 존슨은 "지난 수십 년 동안 성인 오락산업이 1980년대에는 VHS시대, 1990년대에는 위성TV 시대, 지금은 인터넷 시대로 엔터테인먼트 시스템 산업을 이끌어 왔다"면서 2010년 이후는 3D시대라고 밝혔다.

배드 걸스 인 3D 시스템은 파나소닉 60인치 3D TV, 콤팩트형 컴퓨터 서버 그리고 3D 안경으로 구성돼 있다. 가격은 2,000파운드며 온라인 비디오 라이브러리 가입비는 월 10파운드다.
