Man Caught Beating Pet in Elevator

A Manhattan man was Wednesday arrested for abusing a small dog after his vicious attack was caught on elevator video.

Chris Grant, 21, is seen in the footage dragging a 12-pound Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, named Chuvi-Duvi, into the Grant Houses elevator, New York Daily News reported.

He kicked the small dog with his foot twice, and then enticed the dog to come to him. He kicked the pet again, after rubbing it on the ear.

Authorities say the dog belongs to his girfriend.

Fortunately, Chuvi-Duvi didn't suffer any broken bones in last Saturday's attack.

The dog is being treated at a nearby veterinarian hospital and is expected to be released back to the owner soon.

An officer from the NYPD witnessed the incident on surveillance CCTV video on Saturday. Using the footage, police were able to track down Grant two days later, on Jan. 4, in his girlfriend's apartment and arrested him Monday.

He was released on $1,000 bail.

엘리베이터 안에서 애완견 폭행

맨해튼의 살고있는 한 남성이 작은 애완견을 폭행한것이 엘리베이터 CCTV에 촬영된 후에 체포 되었다.

크리스 그랜트(21)는 12파운드 사이즈의 포메랑과 치와와가 섞인 강아지, 츄비두비를 그랜트 집 엘리베이터로 끌고 들어가는 모습이 포착되었다고 뉴욕 데일리 뉴스는 보도했다.

그는 작은 강아지를 두번이나 '킥'을 날린후에 강아지를 손짓으로 유인했다. 강아지가 오자 귀 뒤를 만져주다가 다시 또 발로 걷어 찼다고 한다.

관계자의 말에 의하면 강아지는 그랜트의 여자친구 것 이라고 한다.

다행이도 토요일 폭행으로 츄비두비의 뼈가 부러지거나 심한 부상을 당하진 않았다.

현재 인근 동물 병원에서 치료를 받고 있으며 곧 퇴원해서 주인에게 돌아갈수 있다.

NYPD의 한 경찰관은 CCTV에서 이 폭행 사건을 목격했다. 이 촬영 장면을 이용해 그랜트를 이틀만인 1월4일에 여자친구 아파트에서 찾을수 있었으며 체포 되었다.

한편 그랜트는 1,000달러의 보석 판결을 받았다.
