Shop-Talking Bosses a No-No at Parties

Listen

Bosses who constantly talk about business are the worst companions for year-end parties, according to a survey of office workers.

In www.incruit.com's survey of 1,050 people, 32.8 percent found "bossy" superiors the most annoying people to have drinks with. These bosses are ones who talk shop, force everybody to have an equal amount of drinks and order everyone to share their New Year's resolutions. Other nuisances include bosses who cry while drinking and keep repeating their words.

Grill restaurants are the most favored place to celebrate as 29.1 percent picked them. Raw fish restaurants and buffets are also popular. About 11.4 percent picked concert halls.

An employee attends an average of 3.4 year-end parties, with an average budget of 93,000 won per session.

Most workers prefer bar hopping to staying at one venue but 2.4 percent opted for four or more places. The survey shows that a heavy drinking culture still lingers here.
