Designer jeans, made in North Korea, hit Swedish department stores starting Saturday, the first such case in the Nordic nation, Yonhap reported Saturday.
The Noko brand jeans went on sale at Stockholm's "PUB" department store, it said citing Noko officials.
The first batch will be 1,100 pairs and sold for $226 each, it said, adding the online order will be also possible soon.
The novel business venture is a project of a trio of Swedish entrepreneurs, who are all young and under 25. They started producing jeans in North Korea starting mid-2007.
North Korea reportedly bans people wearing jeans.
