The Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs confirmed death of a seven-year-old boy from Influenza A (H1N1) contraction Saturday.
The deceased person had no prior disorder and was not in the highly-risky bracket_ senior, sick, or those under six years old.
According to the authorities, the patient was hospitalized Sept. 28 after having suffered from high fever and excessive coughing. He had reportedly shown symptoms of pneumonia and artificial pneumothorax and was given an antiviral drug. He was confirmed with the influenza contraction on Oct. 5.
The boy died Friday night after suffering from breathing problem. The doctors concluded that the flu virus has contributed to the death.
This is the first death of person between six to 19 years old related to the flu.
The ministry asked people to visit nearby clinics and hospitals if one suffers from cold and high fever.
