Police booked Kang In, a member of boy band Super Junior, on charges of engaging in a scuffle at a bar in southern Seoul Wednesday.

Kang, 24, and three others were booked without physical detention for violence.

According to Seoul Gangnam Police, Kang, a pop singer, actor and presenter, entered into a quarrel with two other customers while drinking with one of his friends at the bar early Wednesday morning and they went outside to exchange fists.

Police quoted Kang as saying that he didn't use violence but that he was hit lopsidedly. However, given statements by others involved in the brawl, Kang is believed to have involved in the violence, according to police.

Super Junior, often called Suju, is a boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2005. The 13-member group is the largest boy band in the world.
