Three South Koreans on a visit to Mongolia were killed in a car accident, the foreign ministry said Friday.
A 54-year-old man, identified only as Cho, and two other men in their 20s were found dead on Thursday. They were reportedly traveling in the same car near the country's central town of Arvaikheer.
The three men, part of a 20-member tourist group who arrived in the country on Wednesday, were traveling from the capital Ulan Bator to the province of Govi-Altai.
Others were believed to have traveled separately by air. The embassy in Mongolia has dispatched an official to Arvaikheer and has requested local authorities to carry out a thorough investigation of the accident, officials said.
