Four men were arrested Thursday for planting and smoking marijuana in their apartment and sharing ``tips'' online. Two others were booked for buying their plants for consumption.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, a 27-year-old man, Jeon, planted marijuana at his home in Gunja-dong, Seoul. He posted his know-how and information about the plant on his blog, from how to buy the seed and grow it, to harvesting and preparing the drug to smoke it.

Police said he had smoked marijuana with his friends at different locations including the Han River and Busan.

Thirty-year-old Yeon and two others, including one American English instructor, shared his information and bought marijuana seed from Britain. They grew the plant in a closet on the veranda of his apartment in Haengdang-dong, Seoul, for five months and smoked the derived drug.

``Since blogs are open spaces and anyone can have access to them without logging in and leaving a record, no one can really figure out how many people have actually looked at the information,'' a police officer said.

They shut down the blog and are searching for other such Web sites.
