Police said Wednesday they’d apprehended a woman on suspicion of killing her husband with sleeping pills.
Anyang Police Station said the widow, identified only as Cho, had mixed a fatal dose of sleeping pills with soup and served it to her husband as he suspected her infidelity, which is not yet confirmed. Police added that Cho choked her sleeping husband at midnight on Jan. 5 to make sure of his death.
She initially said he’d died of unknown causes while sleeping but pled guilty following a postmortem exam. An arrest warrant was subsequently sought.
