A man was arrested Monday for killing a passer-by who ― with two cohorts ― had attacked him up under the influence of alcohol.
Yongsan Police Station arrested a 36-year-old Kwon on suspicion of murder.
Kwon was walking down the streets of Hannam-dong in northern Seoul around 4 a.m. Sunday when he came across three men.
They got into a fight after Kwon accidentally touched one the men's shoulders. Kwon was severely beaten up by the three.
Kwon later grabbed an object from his car parked nearby, followed the group and stabbed one of them. The injured man, bleeding profusely, managed to get to hospital by himself but died two hours later, police said.
