A male office worker was booked without physical detention Wednesday for violently attacking his female superior who was scolding him for reporting to work late.
The 25-year-old worker at a magazine company, identified as Lee, hit 29-year-old Ha, in the head with his hands and kicked her in the shin on the rooftop of the company building in southwestern Seoul around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to police.
Ha took Lee to the rooftop and criticized the new employee at the firm for habitually being late to work. She said she and other colleagues had to delay a meeting because he came in late that morning as well.
Lee told police that he hit his superior because he was angry and asked for leniency for his wrongdoing, police said.
