The U.S. Army has posted more than 40 video clips and about 150 still photos taken during the 1950-53 Korean War on the Internet, the Stars and Stripes reported Sunday.
The images provide a broad look at the fratricidal war that divided the Korean Peninsula and led to a U.S. military presence in South Korea that continues to this day, it said.
The videos can be found on YouTube, and the photos are on Flickr, according to the U.S military newspaper.
``This collection of videos and still photographs really is a treasure trove of historical information about the Korean War and the years that followed,'' Edward N. Johnson, spokesman for the Installation Management Command-Korea, was quoted as saying.
The war ended in a truce, not a permanent peace treaty. South and North Korea remain technically at war.
