A 15-year-old boy was found dead in an apparent suicide Tuesday, after deciding to break up with his girlfriend.
The middle school student, whose name was not disclosed, was found dead in a flowerbed of an apartment complex in western Seoul around 5:45 p.m.
A guard who reported the body to police said he heard a thud and found the boy there.
The boy had a quarrel with his girlfriend near the guardhouse about two hours before the suicide. Afterward, he sent her a text message in which he said, ``We'd better break up,'' the girl said.
Based on her testimony and CCTV recordings, police suspect he jumped off the apartment building after becoming depressed by the breakup. They are investigating details of the incident.
