More than 10 million people have visited Hahoe Village in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, since the folk village opened in 1994 as a tourist attraction.
The 10-millionth visitor was Jang Dong-gun from Daegu, who came with his wife Saturday. The couple received a wooden Hahoe mask and lifetime admission to the village.
The village had 200,000 to 300,000 visitors a year in the 1990s, but the number has soared since British Queen Elizabeth II visited there in April 1999.
The village now draws 800,000 visitors annually.
