Park Hee-tae, chairman of the Grand National Party (GNP), Wednesday, named Rep. Song Kwang-ho, a two-term lawmaker who is close to former GNP Chairwoman Park Geun-hye, to serve as a member of the party's decision-making Supreme Council.
Council members were elected by delegates at the party's national convention July 3, but two others were appointed by the chairman.
Park Jae-soon was named for the remaining one Supreme Council member post.
Rep. An Kyung-ryul was appointed as secretary-general of the party.
Two more spokespersons were appointed. They are Reps. Cha Myeong-jin and Yoon Sang-hyun, in addition to Cho Yoon-sun.
