Seoul City will provide a one-day training program on volunteer project leadership for a group of 30 selected college students on July 8, the city-funded Volunteer Center reported Monday.

The training program will arm students with a responsible attitude, planning and management skills to tackle community issues. These future leaders will go on to coordinate and manage community volunteer activities, a Volunteer Center spokesperson said.

She said that the students, after completing the program, will be placed at on-site volunteer activities as the city's project leaders. The program will run from 1 to 6 p.m.

Eligible for the program are dedicated students with community service experience, such as students who have led or managed college volunteer organizations. Trainees will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested may apply on the Volunteer Center's homepage (volunteer.seoul.go.kr).
