Justice Minister Kim Kyung-han Tuesday vowed to take stern measures against Internet users holding a campaign to boycott companies running ads in conservative newspapers.

``We will strengthen the investigation of Internet users who campaign for the boycott of companies running ads in conservative newspapers,'' Kim said during the Cabinet council. ``They are causing massive damage to related businesses.''

His remarks came as Internet users launched a campaign to boycott Chosun Ilbo, JoongAng Ilbo and Dong-a Ilbo newspapers ― three conservative papers critical of the candlelit protests ― and called for companies to stop placing ads in the three newspapers.

Kim said police would take stricter measures against candlelit protestors who use violence during their rallies. ``We will stop protestors from acting illegally. We will persuade those setting up tents at the Seoul Plaza to move out, too,'' Kim said.

Police have already taken stern action against protestors during the rallies, issuing arrest warrants for 12 protestors and seeking legal action against others.
