The government will provide earthquake-hit China with emergency funds and aid materials worth $1 million, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Moon Tae-young said Wednesday.
The government plans to provide aid items including blankets and tents that China needs, Moon said.
Seoul, however, shelved a plan to dispatch a group of rescue workers and medical staff to Sichuan Province because of poor transportation conditions in the affected area, he said.
