Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) will hold an entrance ceremony for its freshmen in English Monday, including welcoming remarks and the president's congratulatory message, the university said in a statement.

For parents and guests who do not understand English, the school will prepare leaflets written both in Korean and English. Interpretation will be provided for major programs.

``Most of the freshmen have enough English skills for basic communication, so we don't think they will have difficulty in following the ceremony,'' an official said.

Before the ceremony, professors of the university's college of education will make breakfast for their students at the school cafeteria at 9 a.m. The college began holding the event four years ago.
