A ``food-car'' festival for homesick foreigners was held ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays. Organized by the Married Immigrants Network (MIN), ``I With U,'' the festival took place Sunday in the town square of the Sungdong-gu Office in Seoul.

More than 700 expatriates, including foreign workers and students as well as immigrants married to Koreans, were present at the event which offered rice cake soup, pork barbecue and bulgogi as well as music and dance performances presented by MIN.

``I cannot go back to my home country during the holidays but I am happy I can participate in a meaningful event,'' said Partricia Amaramto, 35, a representative of MIN from the Philippines.

Supported by the Love's Food-Car, Seoul Immigration Office and Sungdong-gu Office, the event also provided consultation on visas, naturalization, education and welfare.
