The Korea Tourism Organization and Hyundai Motor are jointly collecting ``gourmand explorers,'' groups of people who want to taste and promote local foods across the country.
Any group of at least three is eligible. Applications are available on the Web site https://delicious.BLUmembers.com. Five to six teams will go on a food journey every week between Nov. 24 and Dec. 15.
The explorers will visit designated tourist places and try local foods there, and promote the food and location by posting articles and pictures on the Web site.
Applicants that are good at writing or photography, or those who have a delicate palate, will have a higher chance of being selected. Selected teams will be provided with travel expenses.
Their food and travel stories will be made into ``food maps'' on the Internet and on the mobile phones.
