The government will explain details of the 2007 Seoul-Pyongyang Summit to major countries by dispatching ranking officials Friday.

``We will dispatch senior officials to the United States, China, Japan, Russia and the European Union in a bid to explain the results of the inter-Korean summit and prospects in the future,'' presidential spokesman Cheon Ho-seon said.

Yun Byung-se, senior presidential secretary for foreign affairs and security, will leave for the U.S. and China. Assistant Foreign Minister Shim Yun-jo will visit Japan, Russia and the EU.

Cheon said they are supposed to meet foreign affairs-related officials in the countries.
